The International Learning Center (ILC) invites your participation in the
Boulevard Friendship Series
Spring 2008
What?
The Boulevard Friendship Series consists of foot races scheduled every three weeks, increasing in length each race (dates and distances shown below). Although the lengths increase each month the shorter distances remain for those not ready to "go the distance."
WHO?
These races are open to children and adults, boys and girls, men and women, serious athletes and beginners, citizens of Azerbaijan and other countries. We value, encourage and reward the participation of runners and walkers of every age and every level of skill.
PURPOSE
The purpose of these races is to provide a community event centered on healthy recreation for individuals and families. They also serve as motivation and opportunity for runners to develop their abilities in a competitive environment.
WHERE?
The starting line is near the fountains in front of Azadlig Square and the Government House at the east end of the Boulevard.
WHEN?
Saturday mornings at 9:00 am:
March 15 nd
- 200m - primarily for children 0-5
- 400m - primarily for children 0-9
- 1500m - any age
- 3km - any age
- 5km - any age
April 5 th
All previously listed distances and adding a 10 km race
April 26 rd
All previously listed distances and adding a 15 km race
May 17 th
All previously listed distances and adding a 20 km race.
COST: 1 manat
Praticipants who are under the age of 12 or older than 55 are free of charge.
